Things to remember

Artworks considered for consignment include small scale handmade artworks, jewellery, ceramics, glass, leather, limited edition prints, or other original creations. Exceptions will be considered at the discretion of the General Manager.

How long does a gallery consignment term last?

All MAC gallery terms run on fixed 4-month blocks set by the centre, rather than based on your individual installation date. Changeovers happen promptly on the first weekday of the new term block.

What happens to my booking fee if my application is denied?

Applications are reviewed by our team within a few days. In the rare case that your application is not approved, your booking fee will be entirely refunded back onto the card you used to pay.

How much commission does the gallery take?

MAC takes a 30% + GST commission on all sold works. Please ensure your retail pricing on your submitted inventory list accounts for this structure.

How and when do I get paid for sales?

Payouts are compiled and processed via electronic bank transfer at the end of every calendar month.

Where will my artwork be displayed and is it secure?

All consignment artworks are displayed inside our secured glass display cases located within the main reception area. These are kept locked and are only opened by staff members at a viewer's direct request.

Can I restock my shelf if items sell out during the term?

Absolutely! We encourage keeping your shelf fresh and stocked. Just ensure any replacement items are added to a new stock sheet and physically labeled with your custom code format before bringing them in.

Do I need to supply my own display stands or props?

You are welcome to bring small display stands, business card holders, or minor props to elevate your shelf presentation. However, everything must fit neatly within your designated glass case shelf boundary and cannot block other artists.
